Description Xeriscaping Ecological Lawn Seed Mixture 8350. This ‘no-maintenance’ mixture requires no fertilizer, survives with little moisture even in the driest part of summer and tolerates sub-standard soil too! Sow seed very shallow as it requires light for germination and keep the soil moist until foliage is obvious. Thrives without care once established and will even tolerate mowing! This is not a lawn grass mixture, rather it is a very drought tolerant blend of two perennial ground covers. Both species are hardy to Zone 4. Grows 7-15 cm in height. Contains: 75% White Clover (Trifolium repens) 25% Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) How to Grow Sow seed late April through mid May. Rake the area to be planted vigorously to remove debris and accumulated thatch. Add top soil to fill in any low spots. Sow seed at a rate of 1 kg per 300 m ² (2.2 lbs per 3300 ft²). Apply twice at half rate over the area in a criss-cross pattern. Leave seed where it falls without covering as light is necessary for germination. Water with a fine spray for two or three weeks to keep the seedbed moist during the germination period. Germination occurs in 10-20 days.
